Mrs Rajbansi stated that sports was an essential part of growing up. School sports played an important role in developing character in and outside the classroom.
Mrs Rajbansi addressed the awardees at Wingen Heights Secondary and spoke about the three reasons why learners should set goals. Firstly, clearly defines goals keeps one focussed, secondly goals makes you seize opportunities and thirdly goals keep you committed, even if opportunities don’t come your way.
Mrs Rajbansi commended the Principal Mr G. M. Govender, the educators and the parents for playing an active role in the lives of learners with the school achieving a 98.34% pass rate for the 2011 NCS Examinations.
