Minority Front Councillor Patrick Pillay and members of the Caneside Clinic Committee prepared over 200 hampers for the needy for the festive season.
Minority Front Councillor and Chairperson of the Caneside Clinic Committee said that the Committee members collectively have prepared over 200 hundred hampers for the needy. Councillor Pillay said that all the members went out of their way to make this festive period enjoyable for the less fortunate.
The Caneside Clinic Committee has always ensured that its objectives of poverty alleviation is primary to good health. Many families do not have any opportunity because of financial hardship to make the festive season memorable. Therefore our organisation always go out of its way to bring a smile onto the faces of the less fortunate, said Councillor Pillay.
Councillor Pillay also expressed a big thank you to everyone whom has generously supported and sponsored towards the Caneside Clinic Committees hamper drive. We packed the hampers ourselves and made certain that everything was perfect. Our hamper drive is rapidly growing and we will continue to serve the community selflessly.
He further said that the Caneside Clinic Committee always was given advice from the Late Leader of the Minority Front, Mr Amichand Rajbansi, whom always supported the organisation in terms of its objectives and poverty alleviation programmes since its formation in 2006.
