SPORTS MINISTER ATTENDS SUNGUM'S 40th ANNIVERSARY

The Sathie Sanmarka Sungum of South Africa celebrated their 40 years as a religious and cultural organization on Sunday, 18 January 2008 at the DLI Hall in Durban.

Minister Rajbansi was the Guest of Honour at this glittering function. The guests were enchanted by the Minister’s address which focused on spiritual upliftment and the need to mobilize our communities to keep our culture, heritage and religion strong.

The Spiritual Head of this dynamic organization which has several branches throughout the province, Swami Guru Krishna, in his heartwarming speech highlighted the mission and vision of the organization and stressed the need for on-going support from our communities.

He was commended by Mr Rajbansi for his sterling selfless service to humanity. Several members were also honoured with tokens of appreciation at the function for their significant contributions over the years.
