MF Caucus chair and Ward 70 Councillor Ismail Cassimjee attends to the various complaints in regards to the dumping of household refuse by residents.
It is very irresponsible for residents to continue dumping their daily waste at the corner of Roads. This has become a health hazard and does not portray a good picture of the residents of Westcliff.
He further stated that there needs to be an education campaign where the stakeholders ie: DSW, Parks & Recreation and the Community can discuss these issues and set perimeters and targets, especially those that are responsible for this behavior.
He encouraged the residents to be punctual with their refusal pick up times so they are not forced to litter the area. Cassimjee thanked the senior members of DSW for acting swiftly and removing all the unhygienic mess from the spot.
If anyone can assist by informing the Councillor of perpetrators, it would be appreciated. Councillor Cassimjee can be contacted on 076 73 786 29
