It was a few days without power supply for 36 families in and around Beetle and Fame Rd in Bayview, which was cause due to an underground fault in the line that was supplying the electricity power to the residents. When this matter was brought to attention of MF Councillor Ganas Govender in the early hour of Monday morning, he immediately got the ball rolling to have power re- installed.

The department had worked day and night to have the power re-installed. Power had to be drawn from street lights and supplied to individual house via an overhead cable. This is just a temporary measure. Cllr Ganas Govender will be requesting for an emergency budget to repair the underground fault and bring the supply back to normal.
