Minority Front Councillor Patrick Pillay is seen with Pastor Niven Lalmund and members of the Caneside Clinic Committee.
Minority Front Councillor Patrick Pillay said that the MF welcomes the partnership that the Caneside Clinic Committee has fostered with Pastor Niven Lalmund Stir it up Ministries. At a recent Caneside Clinic Committee breakfast kitchen, Pastor Niven Lalmund Church partnered in the breakfast kitchen that has set the foundation for a continued relationship in terms of providing a much need breakfast for the patients attending the Clinic.
The Caneside Clinic Committee has been running the breakfast kitchen for many years with the continued support from the community. Although the breakfast kitchen is run every Wednesday at the clinic for the patients, it is the vision of the Clinic Committee to get as many sponsors on board so that we may feed on other days as well. The Volunteers of the Caneside Clinic Committee are fantastic and selflessly serve the community. The breakfast kitchen is headed by our members Mrs Mogie Govender and Mrs Sonia Gobind and other members, said Councillor Pillay.
He further said big thank you to Pastor Lalmund and his dedicated team of volunteers for coming on board. This partnership will be growing from strength to strength. I have known Pastor Lalmund for many years and his heart is always with the community. As the Chairperson of the Caneside Clinic Committee I have always expressed on our members to work hard and serve the community. Our dedicated members will always go the extra mile all the time.
Pastor Niven Lalmund said that his church has taken a decision to perform its social responsibility at the Caneside Clinic because his congregation has seen a need in the area. We are very happy with all that we have seen, the committed, dedicated, selfless team of the Caneside Clinic Committee led by MF Councillor Patrick Pillay. We will be continuing our partnership with the Clinic Committee and their selfless service will always be recognised by God.
Mrs Mogie Govender who heads the breakfast kitchen at the Caneside Clinic said that our organisation is always open to sponsorship. We serve breakfast to approximately over 200 people every Wednesday. At the end of the day the greatest rewards all our members get are the smiles on the faces of our patients. We have grown at the breakfast kitchen in leaps and bounds since the breakfast kitchen was started under the Chairmanship of MF Councillor Patrick Pillay. We pray that more sponsors come on board.
